I have been giving the old Baja a bit of a facelift this last week, a nice new body shell all the way from Wilmette, and a set of the new GRP wheels and tires.
I just need some time to make them mucky now!

(2) Baja 5B's
FG Monster Beetle 4x4
Nutech Thunderbolt 2 4x4
Don't know how they handle yet as it is still sitting on the bench going nowhere, but I'm hoping to get down the track this weekend and try them out.
A few of the lad at KORT are interested in seeing how they are going to work on wet astro, as they are still fairly new in the UK and there doesn't seem to be much feedback on them yet. Saying that, the guy in the shop recons that they are being received very well by the drivers up around his way.
Keep you posted.

Hi Guys,
The bodyshell is done in Taymiya Metallic red PS15, it does look quite smart, and looks good in the sunlight.
I don't know who stocks the GRP Bulldog tires in the US, but their part numbers are GWH73A & GWH76A.
Although, I must say that even though the shop they came from in the UK is run by one of the top drivers in the UK, who heaped loads of praise on them, the lads and I were not at all impressed with them, as they seemed to have very little side grip on our firm astro track.
The Fronts suffered from massive understeer, it was pointless trying to power slide the corners, as the Baja was just sliding straight off the track, and when I changed to the sand blasters on the front, the rear end was all over the place with the Bulldogs, spinning out on every corner and even giving problems down the fast straights.
On the KORT track, even the standard dirt blasters, or for that matter even a set of worn down Hormann soft spikes, were a good deal better than the GRP's. What they are like on other tracks, I cant say.
You'll have to excuse the miserable looking marshal, that just the way he is! plus he seems a bit surprised that I actually managed to get the Baja into the air this time, without loosing it on the run up to the slope.
So I now have some Nice new Elcon wheels coming from Holland, and with a set of nice new Hormann soft's on them, I should be sorted for a while.
Cheers,
Sprig.
