last weekend we strapped a GPS to Scott's fgbaja4wd and with a thrown together from bits in a drawer and reringed ported 28.5 it clocked 48mph, think it's running 18/46. So just for the hell of it i went out yesterday and tried my nutech and hurrax.
nutech has full mod 27.2 and vrc pro with badlands and buggy gearing clocked 43.8mph, my heavy ass hurrax with rp 27.2, regular vrc and mxt'x with 27/58 (stock is 29/56) clocked 39.3mph. So the fg is without doubt the speed king. Overall i'm happy with the hurrax cos the gearing seems perfect for the track right now and nutech is pretty close, if we had long straights on our tracks I'd be buggered but we don't so all is good.

You can definitely hear the difference in top end revs between the 2 motors, the full mod has a few thousand more on the top end over the rp. i'm doing some motor swaps this week, the nuey is getting a rebuilt ported 28.5, the hurrax the full mod and the rp will be going in the toxyc when it comes...i'll clock em again once everything is swapped over.
