View Full Version : Oil filled differential case
I changed the diff setup from my Gasdevil. I sealed the rear and the front diffs and filled with silicone oil #1000 from Hobbythek Germany. The diff gears from the end shafts are greased with FG6512 for hydraulic locking. For refilling and because of the heat bild up I made the breather in. I ran the machine for a while an the diffs are holding very good. See if the are holding longer now then with the plastic cases and the standard grease. Keep you guys informed. :D

Nice mod. Seems simple and effective. Let us know how it holds up. ;)
Oil filled diff holding up perfect. Only problem is that the oil came through the bearings. Although the were 2RS. Changed them anyway. Modifyed th case again with level gauges. See pics. Then again changed the silicone oil for Cat SAE10W TO-2. This is special oil for earthmoving automatic transmissions ;) See what happens:D
