I tested a set of vertigo's rear hub carriers. I believe they are well made from solid aluminum, with a pretty nice finish on them as well. The bearings are fitted nicely, and it seems that much of the play in the rear wheels has been taken care of. There is still a little bit of play but not near as much as the stock carrier. I'm sure that using some shims HPI#Z897 that would take care of the rest. The bearings are showing no signs of stress from the billet carrier as well. All in all a good soon to be product for all of our Baja 5B's!

Thanks Mradlin. I got mine today. Got a few shims left over from doing my front axles so will fix them up tonight. Nice work Clayton.

The slop is between the bearing and the axle, the hubs themselves have to be heated to install the bearings so there is zero slop at the hub/Bearing

These things are awesome. I had to really get some heat into my carriers to get the bearings in (more boiling water..lol.) but some gentle persuasion with a plastic hammer got them sorted. This is a MUST HAVE for any serious BAJA owner. This, the extenders and the billet diff cases make for one heavy duty drive train. Check it out....

Am sticking with the original VP extenders. Those things are heavy duty....lol.. Just made some custom o-rings to hold the pins in. All sorted......

What are those in front of your rear pods, where it says Car Action
Are they the new expended pods?

Thanks, just checked the site because i have been looking for these and all the normal suppliers tell me they expecta delay of 1-2 months.

The BB website says "SORRY!

PLEASE BE ADVISED NEW PRODUCTION IS ON "HOLD" TEMPORARILY AS SOME TECHNICAL ISSUES HAVE TO BE DEALT WITH.
Sorry for any inconvenience. "

Anyone got any ideas when they will be available?

Anyone know if I can get them in the UK, don't mind prdering from overseas but inevitably they takes ages to get here with the delays at customs and having to pay the VAT etc..............
