Went out to the park to run the FG stadium and the Hurricane. Got to the park and did about a 10 minute run. Then this guy comes up to me and we spent about an hour talking about the trucks that I was running. He wanted to know all about them from cost to how fast they went. I always like introducing people to the hobby. This happens every other time I go to run the trucks. I have sold a couple of rc vehicles this way they were nitros though.

everytime I took mine to the park I had people in their cars pulling over and watching me run it. Kids from everywhere would come over and watch. then people is their cars would pull up by me as I was running down the side of the road go home. Asking me how much one of those cost and when they hear the prices it's like they saw a ghost and drive away.

I had a guy one time say man I want one of those until I told him what they cost. He didn't want one anymore. I found out that when kids are telling me about thier rc's they have some imaginations.

I 've also had that happen to me also.. People tend to watch a 3 ft car ripping around a field:D I bet I had many people hooked into the RC world this way.. after they try it for about 10 mins they ask where to buy something like it..the hardest part is there is no darn tracks around here:damn::damn::horse:

Doesn't matter were in the world you are, it's an recogn situation! But it is always fun, because there is always an knowledge exchange.

I think this happens to everyone, these things are to cool to ignore. Even when I think I am alone, not a soul in sight, the moment I start the cars up someone magically appears. I have noticed my Titan with the Beetle body always seems to get the most attention. Also, when they see the hydraulic disk brakes on my FG they can’t believe it. .

I agree with you pwaicon when you say they are too cool. Lots of fun to run.

Has anyone had someone asked to drive it? And would you let them??

I have had several people ask me if they could, then I tell them the price and they quickly change their minds. The ones would still want to, I have always said no and tell them the last person who I let drive it wrecked it and it cost me $200 to fix it. I will however let select friends and fellow 5th scale hobbyist give it a spin.
