How are you thinking of attaching them? When I had FG's I glued my first set on and they lasted about 2 tanks before peeling off. When I reinstalled them I put on some button head screws in key points and it lasted for a year or so before breaking the panel.

I was thinking of glueing but decided against it. Probably going with the nut and bolt method. Stainless steel bolts and nuts that way they will shine better.

You can the shine on the side panels after cleaning them up.

Going to try and make a front bumper and a rear stone guard for the diff area.

out of the same material.;)

That's why I said the comment I did (Are you reading my mind). LOL

I would use the pop rivet method but it might crack the lexan. Found out this cracks easily. Only have a jig saw to cut it. Then use my dremel to shape it.

If you pre drill it use it as a template to mark the chassis. Then you can use bolts and lock nuts to hold it in place. ;)

Also if going the pop rivet route you can use a rivet washer for the backside to distribute the load. I found with the rivets my fingers always seem to find the sharp ruff edge to cut them when working around them. Rivets give you a quick great look.

Yea stainless steel rivets would look nice. Also could use bolts with acorn nuts

Tried to heat and bend the top piece but blowdryer wasn't hot enought. So broke out the JB weld. Going to try a propane torch next time.
Let me know what you guys think so far.

Grabbed some #8 nuts and bolts tonight. Going to try and drill the side plate and bolt in the side shields. Will update later.

Update on the sides. Drilled holes and nut and bolted them to the alloy sides. I think it turned out good. Three fastners per side.

This is what it looks like bolted back on the truck.

Now for the rearend cover I dropped it and it broke where I used the jb weld.
Made a new piece tonight and heated it up wit a torch then bent it into shape. Will have to trim and cut. More to come.
