8.04 is the final drive ratio for the stock Baja 5B
8.47 is the final drive ratio for the stock Baja 5T
8.01 is the final drive ratio for the 5T with an 18th pinion

The Tires are 11% larger but the gearing only changed 5.5%
So the truck is slighty taller geared overall.

If the truck as too much bottom end switching over to an 18t pinion may actually make a difference.

so what gears did they change in the gear box? or is it just the pinion/spur gear that they only changed up?

They only changed the upper tranny gear to a 19t which is far better than changing it at the pinion spur.
