Ron over at krikke, told me elcon is coming out with a complete outfitted car with all there accessories. Heli cut gears, adjustable diff, the works. He said it should be available in couple months. No upgrades needed. It has it all. Should be very interesting. I priced out a leopard all alloy and it costs quite a bit to outfit. I'm sure it is going to be quite a bit cheaper to buy the full meal deal already done.

I can just imagine the price tag on this. Even with getting a discount with buying it all it will not be cheap. Would love to know the final weight of the machine.
I have seen the estimated Price tag, but I am not allowed to be specific, but it is NOT going to be cheaper than a Hörmann HT2.
With one of their prototypes they placed 2'nd, just seconds after Ian Oddie in the indoor race at the W.E.S. Cup in Exloo(Holland)

Nice car thou. I still want one. Very cool.
Here are some brand NEW pics of the latest incarnation of the Elcon Prototype.
They are still a couple of Races and minor changes from Production.
Rumour has it that suspension stroke is up to almost 4" :D

I'm really likeing the looks of this car. But does look pricey
The Weight Elcon is aiming at, will make the Cleon the lightest all Alu race Buggy on the market.
I think I heard a rumour, that the Cleon might get below 10kg(22pds).
As for pricing, nothing is public yet, but this is going to be a High End race buggy, and pricing will be according to that.

I think that car would be around $2600
killermolly: Sounds like you hear the same rumours as me, estimated price I have heard is around € 2000 or around US$ 2600.
I don't know if that price is including or excluding European VAT/MwSt/Sales tax, but I do hope that it is including Tax.

I don't know about the VAT.
I hope they look in to making a MT.
I don't think Elcon is planning a MT inside a short timeframe, but who knows what might happen....
