Akela and I had our Bajas out last weekend in a sand pit, took the clutch apart to clean it just now and the New Zen clutch is half gone, more one side than the other..
I am rather disappointed that I am only going to get 2 tanks per clutch out of this thing in the sand. I had hours on the buggy with the stock clutch on a track but this sand stuff is not good!!!
Other than a clutch cover any suggestions? I am running the stock bell with all the holes in it.

OH Yaa sand is the most abrasive on everything I used to burn a new clutch up to the metal in about 3-4 hours in the sand. the new HPI high rpm clutch is alot better I have about 2 trips in the sand and a bunch of bashing and there is still about 1/4 left.

I am running the DDM 8,000rpm clutch spring..
The HPI clutch is just lightened is it not? same material lighter clutch?
And the spring I think is similar to the DDM spring.
