Love the look of that peice. Would hate to cover it up, would want to leave side panels off just to show everyone what is under there.

That little part would retail about $70.00 Very pricey because it is milled from solid billet.

We can change the design but the looks wouldn't be there..
Will draw one up when we get a chance and post it.

I agree where do I sign up. If Clayton sells it you know its good. Every Vertigo part is amazing.

If Clayton sells it you know its good.

As much as comments like that are appreciated they really put the pressure on, what if we make a faulty part, one that doesn't fit future variations of the Baja or require constant maintenance? we won't look very good ;)

Very nice, That would help cool the bearings down too, with the clutch right there. Great Idea.

I melted my plastic carrier the other day, the bearing moved which in turn offset my clutch bell. I want to alleviate this.
Also this week should all go well the rear hub carriers should be fitted and I am hoping much of the rear end slop is gone.

I am trying hard to have tested the front axles, Rear hub carriers and I think some other stuff I can't remember.. too many things on the list :D

I am constantly destroying spur gears from the slop I get in the holder once my clutch heats up. Our track is tight and plenty of jumps so heaps of on-off throttle. I cant wait to fit this part!!!

VertigoPerformance

So that is what is causing this, it was suggested by a member of the HPI team that heating up of the bell may be a problem on the spur. It must heat the pinion gear.
I am still curios as to how the pinion heat sink works and where it goes.
Also someone is making bell covers... I wonder if that is such a great idea after all.

Doctor RC

Yes I went thru 4 spur gears and two pinions gears in under a tank last meet. I also wondering about the heat shrink.

I hope the tolerances are close enough ;)

Heavy car, alot hp, plastic spur, and HEAT, somethings got to go. keep a temp gun with you, next time you melt one check it. Friction is the Prob.

If it fails I would say that I would go postal. Just like not getting any mints with my DDM package.

I'm sure being billet, it'll hold up to the abuse. Don't be so hard on yourself Clayton, If at first you don't succeed, "something something something".

Will this work on an FG on-road RC car? It looks as though we might be able to drop the weight down just a few grams using something like that. Has it been fully tested yet?

Keep up the ideas comming it looks smart good work.

The Baja carrier is designed for the baja spur gear plate. There are some out there for the FG though just don't know who make them

Which car is this Clutch Bell Carrier designed for? FG? Lauterbacher? HARM? Hörmann? Technokit? or all of the above? It looks really slick? Do you have any idea how much it will be selling for?

Hi Shaun and welcome..

Powerslide, Hinterland and another company that hasnt a name yet (they are just opening) will be carrying them. We are hoping our pricing will allow the prices in OZ to be close to what you can get in the USA

Vertigo Performance

Carriers and rear mount are now available.
Current price is $79.95 for both pieces, $8.00 shipping.

Dealers should receive these in a little over a week and will most likely offer the consumer a better price than Vertigo Performance since we do not compete with our dealers.
