Bead locks

We are not sure when they are going out the door from HPI, 5thscaleracing will be receiving the new style bead locks and will be posting reviews as soon as we get the opportunity.

Beadlocks arrived!!!!! We will be installing the new style on the rear sets of Pins and Tarmac tyres since front's rarely take a beating leaving the old style on the fronts... Can't wait to get these bad boys mounted!!!!

We did but only because we didn't want to wait for dist to have them in stock.. We get a better deal from distributors.

The new bead locks work great and alot more durable. I want to get a hold of the white one, like the one at RCX show those look sweet

These new rings from HPI will be the problem solver - no bent aluminum and no tire issues. They can take the abuse as show here. This is some 60miles in on the 120mile endurance test. Yes, full size miles in the roughest of desert conditions.

I installed the beadlocks today (thanks HPI)

The biggest thing I noticed next to the beefiness of these is that they sit off the tire as a guard instead of against the tire. What a great idea!!!

I just mounted a set of red beadlocks on chrome wheels with tarmac tire, Man do they look SWEET

Just a guess here, the stores are going to sell all the old style out before shipping the new style.. I dont know this for sure but it would make sense. (to me anyways LOL!!!)

Nope, they will be out soon enough. Actually doing the press release on them, should be next week. Not days, but not six months either, somewhere on the other side of a couple or so weeks... sorry I do not have a straight answer, it's second hand info and no direct answers from my peeps right now. I just know the press release should be out next week.

I dyed the stock gray ones purple (Rit dye) and it took perfectly. Not sure how other colors would look though. :D
