Very smart and simple. Turtle welds a steel ring around the drive cups for strength. This way the cup cannot split or break. Then by including the HPI heavy duty driveshafts, the axle and cups create a virtually indestructable drivetrain. I only have 3 hours on the new Turtle system, but they have been hard hours without fear of breaking a cup or axle. The Turtle Diff housing support is also installed. Great fit and finish. This setup will ensure a long life for your diff. The only weak link now is to wait for the hardened diff gears to finish the job.

What happens if you bend a dog bone will one from HPI drop right in without modification?

They use the HPI heavy duty drive axles. :) They only add the ring around the cups to keep them from breaking.

I knew he used the HD DB, I thought though it needed modding to fit..

I would think that they would need to be moded some. I know with my baja, that the pins stick out past the cups by just a tiny bit. My guess is that you would need to grind off a little of the pins so that they would slide in.

I think the pins are milled down or you could file them down a little.

A CVD would be nice. Ive been thinking of trying to adapt a FG ball drive to a Baja. I dont think i could ever get it to work.

I think the Baja has too much travel for the ball drives to work
